     The Fourth is an online news website launched by third year Journalism students of the University of Santo Tomas. Anchored to the truth and loyal to the people, The Fourth’s mission is to deliver fact-checked and fast breaking news to its readers.

 

     Its vision is to deliver independent, relevant, and reliable information. The Fourth’s purpose is to uphold the standards of Journalism, rooting its services to no one but its readers, and to nothing but the truth. Its members are held together by accuracy, transparency, and commitment.

 

        GO FORTH – The Fourth's unending commitment to the truth served as an impetus to answer the demand for the fourth estate — us.

        VERIFY – Accurate and trustworthy—this is the brand of Journalism that The Fourth will always and shall continuously preserve.

        REPORT – The Fourth’s responsibility as the overseeing estate reminds its members that information needs to be transparently disseminated – with nothing to conceal, especially to the public.

 

     As the known fourth estate of the government, The Fourth is independent from any affiliations that may taint the information to be promulgated to the people. Thus, it is solid to its duty to be the eyes of the citizenry and the critiques of the state.
