Trillanes signs bank waivers, dares Duterte to do the same

Trillanes signed waivers on bank secrecy law for the 12 foreign bank accounts that Duterte accused him of on where he is hiding his wealth. He then presented the copies of the 12 bank account waivers in a press conference.
The waivers are addressed to Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) and to the office of the Ombudsman, giving them the authorization to check the offshore accounts.
The AMLC has access to the international banking system that can check accounts with ease while the Office of the Ombudsman has the sanction to open the supposed bank accounts.
Trillanes urged the President to do the same: “If you are brave, if you are not corrupt, sign a waiver like I did today.”
No to fake news
Trillanes said he would file libel cases against supporters of the President, Assistant Press Secretary Mocha Uson, government radio anchor Erwin Tulfo, and Ben Tesiorna of the Davao Breaking News who published “fake” bank accounts.
Two of the 12 bank accounts, Nova Scotia Bank in Canada and Hongkong-Shanghai Bank in Singapore, were found non-existent. “There’s no Hongkong-Shanghai Bank, only The Hongkong and Shanghai Bangking Corporation,” he divulged.
Trillanes also said that three upper-classmen of Philippine Military Academy (PMA) were behind this scheme.
According to the senator, the three are serving the administration of Duterte, but either retired nor still active in service in the PMA.
Keep your promise
Trillanes does not think President Duterte would sign the bank waiver, nevertheless he will still proceed with what he has started and will go after the President and his “hidden wealth.”
He has first issued the challenge on the 2016 presidential campaign and called the President to be true to his promise during the campaign.
If proven wrong, the senator said he would not only resign, but would also go to jail of Duterte’s choice.
