The first quarter started with both teams tied at 13-all and ended with 19-all.
Jonathan Espeleta of the NU Bulldogs and J-Jay Alejandro of ADU Falcons flew several 3-point shots that helped their teams in the first quarter.
Although they tied again with 23 points, the Falcons made a huge improvement in the second quarter, widening the gap with a double-digit lead in 43-32.
Papi Sarr made several mistakes in the 3rd quarter but managed to outscore again Bulldogs with a 10-point lead of 60-50.
NU Bulldogs Coach Jamike Jarin let Alejandro rest for a while and made the reserves play in the last quarter.
He then signaled a time-out and told the boys to make quick points to catch the score, but to no avail, his team lost with 7 points.
J-Jay Alejandro was on the roll for NU with 25 points to go along with 7 rebounds, and 4 assists, making him the Player of the Game.
Suffering from a third loss, the Bulldogs must win their game on September 27 against the Far Eastern University Tamaraws, with 2 wins, to boost their standing.
The Falcons, however, must not let this win hinder their determination in their next game against the University of the East Warriors, hungry for a win, on October 1.
