Lady Stags close semis, dismiss Lady Pirates
San Sebastian College-Recoletos (SSC-R) Lady Stags dragged Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) Lady Pirates out of the semis, 25-15, 24-26, 25-16, 25-23, in Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference Wednesday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan City.

The Lady Stags ended a 2-3 record in Group A of the tournament, leaving them out of the Final Four.
SSC-R’s Nikka Dalisay and Daurene Santos, scored 12 points apiece, assisted their team to win the game with the help of Dangie Encarnacion who had 10 markers.
In the fourth set, Lady Pirates scared Lady Pirates, but Recoletos-based team killed their opponent with their floor defense and loaded serves.
Team Captain Cherilyn Sindayen led the Lady Pirates with 13 points while Bien Juanillo scored nine, which gave away 35 points off errors.
Player of the game Joyce Sta. Rita topped all scorers as she finished with 20 points: 15 attacks, three aces and two blocks.
The Lady Pirates, with a 1-3 record, will try a win and end the eliminations against Far Eastern University on Monday at the same venue.
