10 clever things to do on Undas Break
Sometimes we ponder on things to do during long breaks. Less work, no school—it’s important we use our extra time efficiently and wisely. Halloween has just ended, but Undas Break is still around the corner for most people. If you are stuck and unaware on how to be productive yet relaxed on the remaining days of your break, here are ways on how to spend your Undas Break wisely in terms of budget, enjoyment, productivity and relaxation:
1. Go on a road trip
A good way to unwind from all the responsibilities is to go on a road trip, either with friends or families. The Philippines is known for its pristine beaches, why not visit one during the break? Here’s a tip: If you’re on a low budget and your group of friends don’t have the wheels for the ride, it’s better to go with your family instead.

2. Read a book
Read! It can be your textbooks or any book. Luckily, National Book Store is having a huge sale (#NBSCutPrice2017) during this break, from October 20 to November 5, 2017. The sale ranges up to 50% off. This includes books Percy Jackson’s Greek Heroes, Geography Of You And Me, Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard: The Ship of the Dead, My Heart and Other Black Holes: A Novel and also John Green’s newest book All The Turtles Down.

This includes games like Dead by Daylight, Friday the 13th: The Game, Amnesia, Five Nights at Freddy’s, Layers of Fear, Outlast and many more. 4. Watch a series or two
It’s also a great time to catch up with your favorite series that piled up during your busy schedule. Stranger Things just got a second season, but if you haven’t watched the first season yet, now is a great time. Supernatural is also a good series to watch during this break.

6. Draw
Looking for a new hobby? You can never go wrong with drawing! You don’t need to buy expensive materials like Copic Markers (₱250/ per marker) and Prismacolors (₱1,604.75/ 24 set) to start drawing. It can just be with a pencil, pen and paper. But if you want to color your work, I recommend Faber-Castell Color Pencil (₱ 514.75/ 48 set). It’s cheaper with many color variation and it blends fairly well.

Another relatively easy hobby to learn this break—baking! There’s no need for a physical copy of a cookbook anymore to learn how to bake, there are plenty of YouTube videos that can help you with your baking!

It’s important to try new things sometimes. Try different cuisine to satisfy your taste buds once in a while—Japanese, Korean, Mexican, Italian, or German dishes. Ramen Kuroda is a nice Japanese restaurant to try, their Ramen ranges from ₱180-230.
